How to: Release / Renew an IP address in Windows 98
- On the Start menu, click Run…. In the Run dialog box, in the Open: text box, enter winipcfg .
- Click OK.
- In the IP Configuration dialog box, under Ethernet Adapter Information, click the Ethernet Adapter arrow, and then click your Ethernet adapter.
- To release the IP address, click Release.
- To renew the IP address, click Renew.
- Click OK.
