How do I Disable / Enable the Firewall in Windows XP
- Click the Start Button then select the Control Panel
- Click the Network and Internet Connections icon.
- When asked to pick a task, select Network Connections at the bottom.
- Right click on your local Area Connection, Select properties.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- To disable the firewall remove the check in the box under Internet Connection Firewall.
- To enable to firewall ensure there is a check mark in the check box under Internet Connection Firewall.
