To have a good experience with the Bluewire service your PC must be equipped with a network interface card (NIC) to be able to connect to our equipment directly or to connect to a router, which in turn connects to our equipment. Most PCs sold today have an NIC card already installed and if not, have a PCI slot so that you can add one later. Either way, this is mandatory for you to be able to have our service.
Although we provide a safe and reliable connection to the internet, we do not offer any defense against intruders who might want to gain access to your machine and information. This protection is usually handled by your local PC and the software that is installed on it. Windows XP has an integrated firewall that you can activate or you can use third-party firewall software that is often free for download as long as it is for personal use.
