A typical range of service for Bluewire is 10–15 miles, depending on the terrain where you live. Bluewire establishes base stations, or tower sites, from which we are able to broadcast our service. The types of antennas we use along with the height of the tower will dictate the range of that particular tower.

Our clients, whether in a home or at a business, will typically have equipment mounted on their roofs which point directly at the tower. This is why line-of-sight is mandatory for most of our service. This equipment is then connected to your computer or router via a single Cat 5 (or Ethernet) cable and powered via an AC power adapter.
